1,500 PSG supporters in Haifa for the Champions League game against Maccabi

Despite the absence of the Collectif Ultras Paris (CUP), the parking lot reserved for PSG supporters will be full on Wednesday evening. They will be around 1500 to be present at the Sammy Ofer Stadium to support their team for its Champions League second game of the season. The largest contingent (1000 places) will be made up of followers living in Israel, since the club has a fan club there. The other 500 will come from Paris independently, the cost of the trip (including 60 euros for the match ticket, non-transferable) and the red tape having discouraged more than one.

The CUP has thus announced that it is boycotting this trip because of the conditions of entry into Israel, which it deems “liberticidal”. Anyway, he was not especially welcome because of his historical positions in favor of Palestine. No later than during the reception of Montpellier (5-2), on August 13, he had unfurled a Palestinian flag and a banner in Auteuil: “We hang out in strips like in Gaza”. These demonstrations had not pleased the Parisian management but still question the quality of the excavations before accessing the Parc des Princes.
