Amorphous, Sevilla stumbles against Rayo Vallecano

Sevilla played a new neutral score on Saturday. The Andalusians were logically punished. Jorge Sampaoli’s men lost to Rayo Vallecano (0-1) as part of the 12th day of La Liga. Scruffy and apathetic, the Sevillians were inoffensive, using Vallecano goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski on just four occasions.

Worse, the Andalusians attempted their first strike in the 51st minute of play, through Rafa Mir, who returned at halftime. Opposite, Rayo Vallecano proved to be brave. Sergio Camello (25th) and Unai Lopez (47th) in turn stumbled on Marko Dimitrovic. Alvaro Garcia delivered his partners on the hour mark. Launched deep, the Spanish left striker went inside and adjusted the Serbian goalkeeper.

Sharp, he could even have scored a double (79th). In the final moments, Sevilla pushed, unsuccessfully. The Andalusians slip to 16th provisional place and could end the weekend in the relegation zone. Vallecano climbs to 8th provisional rank.
