Audiences still on the rise for the MotoGP Championship

The 2022 MotoGP season, punctuated by the title of the Italian Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati), was more attended than the previous edition of the World Championship, yet marked by the coronation of Fabio Quartararo, the first of a Frenchman in the queen category of motorcycling. Broadcaster of the competition, Canal+ announces a 2% increase in its audience in 2022, i.e. 804,000 viewers on average (compared to 789,000 in 2021).

The last Grand Prix of the season, last Sunday in Valence, allowed Canal+ to record its best audience in MotoGP (989,000 viewers, peak at 1.1 million). The 2021 season had already been marked by a spectacular increase in the audience on the encrypted channel (+92% since the arrival of the discipline on Canal in 2019).
