The Agenais continue to tread water. They lost in Carcassonne on Thursday evening (21-20) and conceded their third consecutive defeat, after being beaten by Soyaux-Angoulême and Oyonnax the previous weekends. The SUA is content with the defensive bonus.
Agen pays for its indiscipline since Carcassonne scored all its points thanks to penalties scored by Dorian Jones (7 penalties scored). In difficulty, the Agenais managed to come back just before the break, with a try from Mathieu Lamoulie converted by Raphaël Lagarde (13-12 at the break).
The SUA then scored a second try via Sonatane Takulua (63rd) but, despite a final penalty from Lamoulie, the Agenais failed by one point.
Before the rest of the 12th day, where the Agenais will mainly have to monitor the results of Vannes (in Montauban) and Biarritz (against Aix-en-Provence), the SUA retains its third place. Carcassonne is 11th.
