The draw for the group stage of the 2022-2023 Champions League will take place on Thursday August 25, 2022 at 6 p.m. and will be broadcast live on Canal+, RMC Sport 1, beIN Sports 1 and on the UEFA website. The L’Équipe channel will comment live the ceremony in Greg’s team.

Which teams qualify for the Champions League?

The draw includes the 32 qualified teams, 26 directly and 6 from the play-offs. The teams are classified in 4 groups called, the hats. Hat 1 is made up of the defending champion, winner of the UEFA Europa League and the champions of the 6 highest ranked nations. The rest of the hats (2 to 4) are determined by the club ranking (UEFA coefficient).
As a reminder, teams cannot fall into the same pool as another team from the same Championship.
