Dubai Airport Director Paul Griffiths announced on Wednesday that the passage of fans during the FIFA World Cup will be facilitated. The airport provides many round trips with the neighboring country of Qatar, competition organizerand has therefore decided to lighten the administrative procedures for the fans who will pass through it.
With the lack of hotels in Qatar, many comings and goings to be expected
According to the director, an online check-in will allow fans to enter and leave very quickly, avoiding procedures at Dubai airport, which was the busiest in the world before the Covid-19 pandemic. He expects many comings and goings due to the lack of available hotels in Qatar and their high price.
Neighboring countries, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar had severed diplomatic relations, accusing each other of supporting terrorist groups. Following a diplomatic reconciliation in January 2021, flights resumed between these two countries after more than three years of interruption.
