Defeated in the first group match by Ludogorets (1-2), the Romans had revenge to take in front of their home crowd against Helsinki. Faced with the Finns reduced to 10 after fifteen minutes of play and the expulsion of Miro Tenho, they nevertheless had great difficulty in making the difference. It took José Mourinho bringing in Paulo Dybala at the break for the match to unblock.
