Esteban Ocon (18th in the sprint race in Brazil): “Fernando (Alonso) came out of nowhere”

Esteban Ocon (18th of the sprint race in BrazilAlpine): “I guess the hardest thing to accept is that we lost a lot in this race, finishing at the back of the grid. Unfortunately, this is costing the team dearly, at the wrong time. It’s unfortunate what happened in the first round. I was trying to attack the McLarens, so I took my line and Fernando (Alonso) came out of nowhere outside. We touched and from there my race was pretty much over. We’ll have to work together tomorrow (sunday) to come back and score points for the team. I hope we can do it…”

Fernando Alonso (15th in the sprint race, Alpine) : “It’s one more race and then it’s over, finally. I was very close to the wall in Jeddah with him (Ocon)near the wall in Budapest, today (Saturday) in turn 4… Sometimes it’s very competitive within a team, it happened to him with Perez, with Verstappen so… it’s one more race. I feel bad for the guys today but I will try to have a good race tomorrow. »
