Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly aimed higher at the Dutch GP

Esteban Ocon (Alpine, 9th in the Dutch GPat the microphone of Canal +): “There was a way to do better today, we could have scored more points. It’s solid to have both cars in the points but we didn’t have a good strategy. We stopped too late, we lost time on the cars in front and that’s what cost us a few places in the end. It was good to get back into the points after a difficult qualifying on Saturday and a lack of speed that we will have to work on for the next race, but it was not a perfect race today either. »

Pierre Gasly (Alpha Tauri, 11th in the Dutch GP, at the microphone of Canal +): “There have been good things and less good things. Almost got off to too good a start, ended up in Yuki’s gearbox (Tsunoda)I had to slow down, I got locked in by him at the first corner and Esteban (Ocon) took the opportunity to pass me. Afterwards, it’s a shame, we got stuck behind Yuki throughout the first part of the race. After my stop, I found myself behind him again, I was faster but it was impossible to overtake. When we put on the Hard tyres, we were really efficient but we had lost too much time at the start of the race and we found ourselves eleventh. »
