After three lively first laps at the start of the German GP this Sunday, the French were no longer worried: starting in second and third position respectively on the grid, Fabio Quartararo and Johann Zarco quickly took control on the circuit of Sachsenring to afford the double.
This is the third victory of the season for Quartararo (Yamaha), more than ever installed in the leader’s chair. His compatriot, who will therefore still have to wait for his first success in the premier category, climbs to 3rd place in the general classification.

Fabio Quartararo now has a 34-point lead in the Championship over his Spanish runner-up Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia) and 61 over Johann Zarco, 3rd.
Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia), long in the fight to complete the podium this Sunday, finally finished 4th behind the Australian Jack Miller (Ducati).
The big loser of this 10th round of the World Championship is undoubtedly Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati). After beating the circuit’s absolute record during free practice, the Italian poleman made a mistake on the third lap when a very committed duel was announced with Quartararo, leaving a boulevard to the two Frenchmen.
