We will not see Vardar Skopje, titled in 2017 and 2019, in the Champions League next season. Nor in any other European competition. The European Federation (EHF) announced this on Wednesday, due to the failure of the Macedonian club to meet the admission criteria.
“The decision of the EHF Executive Committee follows a period of almost two years during which the EHF tried to solve the problem of the non-payment of players under contract by the club”said the European body in a press release, specifying that these payments were finally made only in part.
Note that none of the four French players who played this season in Skopje (Kevynn and Olivier Nyokas, Jérémy Toto and Bakary Diallo) will not continue the Macedonian adventure next season.
