Juventus-PSG: a disciplinary case opened against Paris

It is now official. As we planned, a disciplinary case was formally opened against PSG for the behavior of its supporters, Wednesday evening in Turin. The charges retained are “use of pyrotechnic devices” and “Throwing Objects”. The Parisian fans indeed cracked dozens of smoke bombs in the stand reserved for them at Juventus Stadium and threw various projectiles in the direction of the lawn.

The case will be dealt with at the end of November by the UEFA Disciplinary Committee. It is added to that already opened by the European body after PSG-Haifa, on October 25, for “use of fireworks” and “provocative messages of an offensive nature” in the grandstands of the Parisian enclosurewhich will also be reviewed at the end of the month.

That evening, at the very beginning of the meeting, a dozen small Palestinian flags had flowered in the Auteuil bend. Then, at the start of the second half, the Collectif Ultras Paris took out a bigger flag of Palestine and unfurled a banner “Gaza exists, Gaza resists, Free Palestine”.
