Like many PSG files, the discussions took a long time to come to fruition. But this time, it’s done: Leandro Paredes (28, under contract until 2024) will join Juventus Turin. The two clubs have finalized the terms of the transaction in recent hours, in the form of a loan with an option to buy for a sum of €22 million excluding bonuses.
All that is missing is the signing of the Argentinian international midfielder (44 caps), not called up for the Parisian trip to Toulouse on Wednesday (9:00 p.m., 5th day of Ligue 1). It must take place after the medical visit scheduled for the day.
Paredes has kept the rating in Italy
Warned by the sports management of PSG that he was not among the first choices for this season, the player had already found common ground with the Old Lady several weeks ago, around a contract that could extend until 2026.
Already passed through Serie A (Chievo, AS Rome, Empoli), he has kept a certain rating in Italy. Having become part of the Argentine selection, Paredes undoubtedly made a choice guided by the desire to preserve his status with the Albiceleste in this year of the World Cup (from November 20 to December 18). Before that, he could return to PSG next week, with Juve in the Champions League.
