LeBron James’ adductor injury isn’t too severe

While their season is off to a particularly bad start (2 wins and 9 losses, 14th in the Western Conference), the Los Angeles Lakers have received relatively good news about the state of health of their star LeBron James. Touched adductors, the quadruple NBA champion passed exams Thursday which established that there was no tearing and that he could resume in the short term.

For now, his absence has only been confirmed for the next game against the Sacramento Kings. It’s a relief because it was a similar but more serious injury that sidelined James for several weeks in 2018-19, derailing the Lakers’ season. The schedule of the Lakers, who then play the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday before a five-day break, could allow the “Chosen One” to take almost a week off by missing only two games. But it will take much more than that to allow the Lakers to revive this season.
