Luke Cowan-Dickie (England) will miss the start of the Six Nations Tournament

Bad news for the XV of the Rose. England will be without Luke Cowan-Dickie for the start of the Six Nations Tournament at least. The 29-year-old hooker, who signed in Montpellier for next seasoncame out touched in the second half during Exeter’s victory against Northampton on Saturday January 7 (35-12).

“Luke’s injury seemed relatively serious,” Rob Baxter, Exeter’s director of rugby, announced on Tuesday. “It looks like an operation will be necessary, but at this stage it does not look like the end of the season for him”, he added.

England will enter the Six Nations Tournament against Scotland on February 4 at Twickenham. The new coach Steve Borthwick must also announce his team for the competition next Monday.
