Monaco wins the third stage of the Supersevens in Pau

The final of the third stage of the Supersevens opposed this Sunday the Section Paloise, first stage winnerat Monaco, who had won the second. And despite the support of its public at the Stade du Hameau, Pau lost 24-21 after a hotly contested match between the two best teams on the board.

Once again, the Monegasques were able to count on the experience of South African legend Cecil Afrika, best player in the world in 2011 and bronze medalist at the Rio Olympics in 2016. In the semi-finals, Monaco had pulverized Racing 92 (34-0) while Pau had dismissed the Barbarians 12-7.

Pau and Monaco will meet on November 19 at La Défense Arena for the grand final of the competition with the six other qualifiers which are Bayonne, Bègles-Bordeaux, La Rochelle, Stade Français, Racing 92 and the Barbarians.
