The 2023 MotoGP season will open on March 26 with the Portuguese Grand Prix, but the riders will not be throwing themselves into the deep end cold. Several days of testing are on the program before seeing Francesco Bagnaia put into play his title of world championnotably against Fabio Quartararo.
The GP of Valencia (Spain), which concluded the year 2022, had been extended by official tests on November 8, and these will resume in Malaysia, at the Sepang circuit, between February 10 and 12. Test pilots and rookies will have had the opportunity to get their bearings a little earlier still, between February 5 and 7.
MotoGP will then head to Portugal on March 11 and 12, in a final repeat with the Grand Prix to be held in Portimao. Two other days of official tests are still planned during the year: May 1 in Jerez (Spain) and September 11 in Misano (Italy).
