Napoli crush Glasgow Rangers in the Champions League, Tanguy Ndombele goalscorer

After the big victory against Liverpool on the first day of the Champions League (4-1), Naples took care of its first place in group A. Jostled in the first half, the Neapolitans overcame Glasgow Rangers (3- 0) in the second half, thanks in particular to numerical superiority.

If the Gli Azzurri quickly hit the post (3rd), they especially lacked sharpness in the first part of the match. But the facts of the game worked in their favor. American James Sands tackled Simeone late in the box shortly before the hour mark (55th) and received a second yellow card a few minutes after receiving the first. Piotr Zielinski took charge of the penalty, repelled by Allan McGregor. The ball returned to the feet of Matteo Politano who sent it into the back of the net, but the Neapolitan had entered the box too early. The penalty was therefore withdrawn. Zielinski chose the same side on his second attempt, but the keeper again prevailed.

Finally, Matteo Politano transformed the third penalty obtained by Naples (68th, 0-1), after a handball from Borna Barisic. The Scottish keeper was still close to stopping him, but was too short this time. At the end of the game, Giacomo Raspadori worsened the score after a one-two with Mathias Olivera (85th, 0-2). Tanguy Ndombele, with a flat foot, completed his team’s victory (90th + 1, 0-3).
