NBA boss Adam Silver ‘disappointed’ with Kyrie Irving’s lack of apology after anti-Semitic tweet

In a statement on Thursday, NBA boss Adam Silver said he was ” disappointed by Kyrie Irving because he did not apologize after making the promotion on social networks of a film deemed anti-Semitic. He has decided to meet the Brooklyn Nets star player in person next week.

Kyrie Irving made the reckless decision to post a link to a movie containing deeply offensive anti-Semitic materialSilver said in his statement. While we appreciate that he agreed to work with the Brooklyn Nets and the Anti-Defamation League to fight anti-Semitism and other forms of discrimination, I’m disappointed he didn’t present a unreserved apologies and more specifically denounced the vile and harmful content contained in the film he has chosen to make known. I will meet Kyrie in person next week to discuss this situation.»
