Rugby League: the Catalans Dragons overcome Wakefield Trinity

The Catalans Dragons resume their march forward. After a home defeat against Leeds (32-36 after extra time) last weekend, Arthur Mourgue’s teammates signed a 14th victory in 22 Super League games, defeating Wakefield Trinity (20-16 ), this Sunday.

If they led 16-4 at half-time, thanks to a hat-trick from Fouad Yaha, the Catalans had to resist the burst of pride of the locals. Despite two goals from Ashurst (50th) and Murphy (78th), the visitors held on for their first away win in almost two and a half months.

One victory away from the finals

Thanks to this success, the Catalans Dragons consolidate their 4th place. They are 4 points behind the Wigan Warriors (2nd) and 8 ahead of the Salford Red Devils (7th). The next meeting against the Castleford Tigers, Friday, could allow them to validate their ticket for the final stages.
