Sporting Portugal punishes Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League

Opponent of OM next Tuesday, Eintracht Frankfurt had a bad evening for their entry into the running in this Champions League. On their lawn, the Germans took on water against a much more technically fair and sharper Sporting Portugal in the last 30 meters (0-3).

Determined to leave possession to proceed against, the Germans have yet failed to be rewarded entry. But, launched in the back of the defense, Randal Kolo Muani stumbled on Antonio Adan (3rd). On the other side of the field, the Lisbon people struggled to put up speed in the last 30 meters to afford favorable situations.

Weak in spectacle so far, the meeting took a completely different turn after the hour mark. After finally finding a little depth on the left side, Hidemasa Morita served Marcus Edwards whose cross shot deceived Kevin Trapp (65th) . Two minutes later, the Englishman shifted Trincao for the break goal after a counter-attack. Stunned, Eintracht failed to get their heads back and gave in a third time on an attempt by Nuno Santos still on transition (82nd).
