Declared candidate for the climb to the Top 14, Oyonnax took control of the Pro D2 this Thursday evening. Beaten on the first day on the Biarritz pitch (18-14)the Oyonnaxiens have since reacted well with a success at home against Massy (33-5) last week and a new victory this Thursday evening at the start of the third day against Grenoble, a direct competitor at the top of the classification (46- 13).
Led from the start after a try from Hepetema (5th), Oyonnax set off, scoring six tries (Leiataua 7th, penalty try 26th, Laclayat 39th, Reybier 47th, Lebreton 64th and Battye 67th) to easily win 46- 13.
A great success which allows them to pocket the offensive bonus and have a three-point lead over Rouen at the top of the Championship while all the other matches of the third day will take place this Friday.
