The charges against Montrezl Harrell reduced, his career revived?

Former NBA best sixth man in 2019-20, Montrezl Harrell was facing a prison sentence after being arrested in possession of 1.3 kg of marijuana last May. Accused of drug trafficking, the American interior (28), currently without a contract, risked up to five years in prison.

Eventually, it will be nothing. The charges were reduced to a “simple” misdemeanor of possession. Therefore, whoever finished last season with the Charlotte Hornets will have their file erased in a year, with a probationary period of 30 days in the event of other legal troubles by then.

Good news for the 2m01 player who saw his career take a strange turn after his good season with the Clippers with transfers to the Lakers, then to the Wizards and finally to Charlotte in just two years. Currently without a contract, teams could be tempted to knock on his door now having the assurance that he is free.
