The staff of the Blues could review their plans. Fabien Galthié and his assistants had planned to launch in Guyana the preparation for the World Cup (from September 8 to October 23, 2023) with a gathering of a few days from June 25. The idea was to organize a commando course in (very) hostile conditions within the Foreign Legion regiment based in Cayenne. The coach and Thibault Giroud, in charge of performance, even went there last April for a scouting.
But, according to our information, this course is now highly threatened for health reasons. It could thus be cancelled. The fifteen of France, who will join Monaco and Capbreton during the summer while playing four preparation matches against Scotland (August 5 and August 12), Fiji (August 19) and Australia (August 26), will have to doubt find a new base. A communication from the FFR is awaited.
