Not retained by Stade Français at the end of his contract in the spring of 2022, Tolu Latu has signed a one-year contract with the Waratahs. The Australian hooker (29 years old, 21 selections) therefore finds the Super Rugby franchise where he played from 2014 to 2019 before flying to Europe. He signed a short-term contract which looks very much like a last chance given to a player who hopes to participate in the 2023 World Cup but whose repeated misconduct, on and off the field, have ended up getting tired.
