Transfers: Leandro Paredes (PSG) loaned with option to buy to Juventus (official)

The degreasing continues on the side of the PSG. Arrived in January 2019, Leandro Paredes left the French champion on Wednesday to join Juventus Turin on loan with an option to buy. The midfielder joins a Championship he knows well since he has worn the jerseys of Chievo Verona, AS Roma and Empoli. The Argentinian was no longer a starter in Christophe Galtier’s mind, and was keen to get more playing time in view of the World Cup.

With PSG, the 28-year-old played 117 games. He won three French championship titles, two French Cups, a League Cup and two Champions Trophies. In 2020, he was also part of the Parisian epic until the final of the Champions League.

The former Zénith player is the seventh departure for PSG after Ander Herrera (Athletic Bilbao), Georginio Wijnaldum (AS Roma), Arnaud Kalimuendo (Rennes), Colin Dagba (Strasbourg), Alphonse Areola and Thilo Kehrer (West Ham). Layvin Kurzawa (Fulham), Julian Draxler (Benfica) and Idrissa Gueye (Everton) are also expected to leave the capital club.
