It was a secret that didn’t even try to be kept, but EA Sports made it official this Wednesday: there will be a FIFA 23which will be the last opus of the essential football video game license under this name, before it not be renamed EA Sports FC in 2023. This new episode will be released on September 30 and already promises some new features, including extensive content on women.
For the first time, FIFA 23 will indeed include two women’s national championships, in addition to the national selections, namely Arkema Division 1 France and the Barclays Women’s Super League. In addition, players will also have access to two World Cup modes, which will allow them to participate virtually in the men’s edition in Qatar (2022) as well as in the women’s edition in Australia and New Zealand (2023).

In its announcement trailer, EA Sports also highlighted its HyperMotion 2 technology, based on capturing the movements of real professional teams. The publisher thus promises a “range of new features making the gaming experience more immersive than ever”arguing that player movements will be “even more responsive, intelligent and authentic”. Several changes are also announced in their flagship game modes, such as Career Where Ultimate Team.
Finally, the comments of this new Fifa should drastically differ from those of its predecessor, since the beIN Sports duo, Omar da Fonseca-Benjamin Da Silva, succeeds Hervé Mathoux. During the announcement, it was also confirmed that Kylian Mbappé and Sam Kerr will share the cover of this new gamethe Frenchman having received this honor for the third time.
