Year over for Toby Arnold (LOU), injured ankle

The hard knocks are piling up for the LOU. To the long unavailability of Sopoaga, Bamba and Gomez Kodela is added that of Toby Arnold. The New Zealand full-back, who turned 35 on Sunday, is expected to be sidelined at least until early next year. Out after the break during the defeat against La Rochelle on Saturday, Arnold suffered a ruptured internal ligament in his left ankle and will need surgery.

Lyon manager Xavier Garbajosa will have to find a successor for him on Saturday for the move to Racing 92. Clément Laporte left for Pau in the offseason, the position should be played between Davit Niniashvili, who plays on the wing in Lyon but wore number 15 in the Georgian selection and opener Léo Berdeu who replaced Arnold after his exit against Stade Rochelais.
